THE EXPERIENCE
What can I expect from the event?
123Boom! is an interactive, real-life, arcade game experience! You'll have to solve puzzles, crack codes, and strategise your way through 6 immersive game rooms. The final challenge is to deactivate a paint bomb and if you don't succeed... BOOM!
Where is the experience located?
The experience takes place at 551 Little Collins St, Melbourne. You'll find us on the corner of Little Collins St and King St (entrance via Little Collins St).
Does the experience take place in an indoor or outdoor venue?
This experience is held indoors in an air-conditioned venue.
How long does the experience last?
The experience lasts 75 minutes.
Will food and beverage be available on site for purchase?
Unfortunately, there won't be food or beverage for purchase at this event.
However, a variety of eateries and cafes are available in the building where the experience takes place during business hours; you can find more information here.
Is there parking available?
There is a paid car park, Victory Car Park, located at 530 Little Collins St. More info can be found here. There is also limited street parking nearby. That said, we recommend travelling by public transport as we are centrally located in the CBD and in close proximity to several tram stops.
Will there be additional sessions?
Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee there will be extra dates. Please refer to the experience page for updated information on availability for the latest confirmed dates and timings.
Is there a dress code? Can my clothes get dirty?
There isn't a specific dress code for this experience. However, since the game can get quite physical, we suggest wearing comfortable clothes and shoes that you can easily move around in to navigate any obstacles, and that you don’t mind getting a little dirty as the experience ends with a paint bomb!
We’ll provide you with protective gear from head-to-toe (waterproof jumpsuit, face shield, and shoe covers) but to be safe, we suggest wearing something you don’t mind getting a little paint on, ideal if wearing black or dark clothes (specially top layers such as the t-shirt or shirt). If you do get paint on your clothes, we recommend rinsing it off immediately at our wash basins for best results as stains can set if the paint is allowed to dry.
We’ll also have lockers available to store your personal belongings during the session.
Will there be merchandise for sale?
There will not be merchandise for sale at the event.
Is it an escape room?
An escape room is a game where participants solve puzzles and riddles in a locked room, following a series of clues, with the goal of escaping within a limited time. In 123Boom!, you won't be locked in a room; rather, you'll go through different rooms each with a different puzzle or challenge to solve, leading up to your final challenge: defusing a giant paint bomb!
How many people is the activity for?
Each group can have a minimum of 4 and a maximum of 8 players. We run two games at the same time so if you have more than 8 people, they will need to split into two or more teams that will be able to play at the same time, depending on availability.
Are the sessions private?
Your private session will be booked exclusively for your group, so you won’t be joined by other players.
Does the bomb explosion hurt?
Not at all, it’s just paint!
